Equalities
Addressing equalities issues is a key LDA priority. The LDA sets equality targets for LDA funded project beneficiaries relating to ethnicity, disability and gender and it is important that projects meet these targets. Projects that receive LDA funding are contractually committed to delivering equality of opportunity for all, irrespective of their age, faith, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, whether or not they have a disability.
It is key that organisations delivering LDA funded projects are aware of equalities issues, and the impact that these will have on project delivery. The LDA will provide support through the provision of information and advice in addressing these issues. ‘Equalities’ is a huge area, and we recognise that to be fully engaged and up to speed with developments takes a lot of time and resources on the part of organisations who are already very busy in terms of delivery. This network aims to help you to keep up to date with equalities legislation and best practice in a timely and supportive fashion.
